Transfer Benches

A transfer bench, (also known as a showering bench, shower bench, or transfer chair) is a bath safety mobility device which the user sits on to get into a bathtub. The user usually sits on the bench, which straddles the side of the tub, and gradually slides from the outside to the inside of the tub. Tub transfer benches are used by people who have trouble getting over the tub wall or into the shower, either because of illness or disability.

Grab Bars/ Rails

Grab bars are safety devices designed to enable a person to maintain balance, lessen fatigue while standing, hold some of their weight while maneuvering, or have something to grab onto in case of a slip or fall. A caregiver may use a grab bar to assist with transferring a patient from one place to another. A worker may use a grab bar to hold on to as he or she climbs, or in case of a fall.

Raised Toilet Seat

Raised toilet seats fit most standard and elongated toilets. A lock ensures a tight fit providing additional safety and added feeling of security. A wide opening in the front and back allow for worry-free personal hygiene. The elevated seat will help individuals who need a boost sitting down or standing up from the toilet. For consumers using a wheelchair this product allows for easy transfer to and from the raised toilet seat.

Accessories

Sturdy seats and benches using a hand-held shower head permit washing in a safe, comfortable position. Bath seat lifts help bathers easily transfer from outside the tub in a sitting position, lower them gently into a soothing deep soak and then lift them up again with a push of a button.
